SUMTER, SC (WOLO)–  An investigation is continuing after a man was found dead inside a Fagan Street residence in Sumter on Friday. According to the Sumter Police Department, officers were called after the body of 38-year-old Jeremy Jerrod Barr of Timmonsville, was discovered before 5:15 p.m whe n one of the residents returned home. Officers say Barr was an acquaintance of residents at the home and was shot sometime that day, however details are limited at this time. Officers are asking anyone who has information or may have seen or heard anything during the day Friday near the 200 block of Fagan Street to call the Sumter Police Department at 803-436-2700. Tips can be provided by calling Sumter Crime Stoppers at 803-436-2718 or submitting the tips form on the P3 tips website or app. A cash reward may be available for information leading to an arrest.
