(KRON) -- A person was injured in a shooting Saturday evening on I-580 in Livermore, the California Highway Patrol (CHP) announced in a news release. The shooting happened around 5:35 p.m. on eastbound I-580, west of Fallon Road. A person inside a vehicle was shot and has a non-life-threatening gun shot wound to the lower body, CHP said. After the shooting, the suspect "threw the firearm from the vehicle," the agency wrote. The vehicle then drove off the freeway, and passengers called 911. Only one vehicle was involved, and the shooting happened within the same vehicle, according to CHP. The suspect was identified as 41-year-old Oakland resident Antoine Maurice Nolan. The eastbound lanes of I-580 were temporarily shut down as authorities investigate.
