FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WISH) — A man was fatally injured in a shooting on Pemberton Drive in Fort Wayne Saturday, according to the Fort Wayne Police Department. At 5:55 p.m. Saturday, Fort Wayne officers responded to a report of a traffic incident involving two vehicles on Pemberton Drive near E ast State Boulevard. Officers arrived and found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. Officer immediately rendered life-saving aid until medics arrived and transported the injured man to a local hospital. The injured man was later pronounced dead at the hospital. This incident remains under investigation by the Fort Wayne Police Department Homicide Unit. Investigators are actively processing the scene. There are no indications that the public is in any danger.
