CAMBRIDGE CITY, Ind. (WISH) — Three people were found dead in a Cambridge City, Indiana, house fire early Saturday morning, according to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office. Just before 2 a.m. Saturday, Wayne County 911 received a call on a house fire in the 18000 block of Frank Myers Road in Cambridge City. First responders arrived and found the residence fully engulfed in fire. After the fire was brought under control, three victims were found inside the residence. They were pronounced dead at the scene. The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, along with the Indiana State Fire Marshal’s Office, is investigating to determine the identities of the victims, their causes of deaths, and the cause of the fire. The Wayne County Coroner’s Office is assisting with the identification of the victims and with determining the causes of deaths. “This is a heartbreaking situation for our community,” said Wayne County Sheriff Randy Retter. “We extend our deepest sympathy to everyone impacted by this tragedy, and we are committed to doing everything possible to thoroughly investigate this incident and provide answers as they become available.” ...read more read less
