Mendoza and fellow Filipino-American Regie Cabico that started as only a cabaret in January 2012 that then expanded into the American cities of Washington, DC, New York City, Los Angeles, Pittsburgh, Las Vegas, Austin, and Chicago, adding an international production in Manila, Philippines in 2024 featuring cast members of the Asian tour of Miss Saigon. “All good things must come to an end to make room for what’s next, which makes this goodbye to a brand that’s given me and Regie so much bittersweet because we both have amazing things to look forward to after this special farewell tour concludes,” said Co-Founder and Executive Producer, Don Michael H. Mendoza. Mendoza plans to continue producing, though more focused toward television and film under his company DMH Mendoza Productions where he has three projects in development. He also plans to work alongside his dear friend and internationally recognized actor Vincent Rodriguez III as the COO of Vincent’s company, VR3 Productions, managing the staff and serving as Vincent’s International General Manager, helping shape his career in both the United States and the Philippines and leading a team of managers and agents to pursue opportunities for him and eventually future clients also looking to have a multinational career. Cabico will continue in his 2nd year as Executive Director of A Gathering of the Tribes in New York City, and is writing his next solo show, which will be produced by DMH Mendoza Productions. He’s also working on co-editing an anthology of Asian American poetry and his own next collection of poems. His last major poem publication appeared on Poets.org.
