Jan 22, 2026
FORT WAYNE, IND. (WOWO) Fort Wayne businessman Darren Vogt is reporting a significant fundraising advantage in his Republican primary challenge against State Senator Liz Brown.
According to recent campaign finance filings, Vogt has raised more than $135,000 since entering the race and reports nearly
$107,000 in cash on hand. The filings show Vogt outraising his opponent as the primary election approaches.
The campaign has also received a boost from Indiana Attorney General Todd Rokita, who publicly endorsed Vogt while criticizing Brown’s record on immigration. Rokita’s endorsement adds statewide visibility to a race that had previously drawn limited attention outside northeast Indiana.
Brown, a Republican who has represented the district for multiple terms, is seeking reelection while facing a growing challenge from Vogt, who has emphasized immigration and border security as central issues in his campaign.
The Republican primary between Vogt and Brown is scheduled for May 5, according to the Indiana Election Division.
