MOBRIDGE (KOLY) – Strong winds ripped though Central South Dakota on Wednesday morning (January 21st) prompting a Travel Advisory on US Hwy 12 from McLaughlin to a few miles west of McIntosh and some of the eastern half of Corson County. Travel Advisories were posted for parts of Walworth, Edmunds , Potter and Faulk Counties as well. A 62 mph peak wind gust was clocked at the Mobridge Airport at 8:47 am. Other peak wind gusts reported Wednesday morning: Timber Lake 59 mph, Trail City 62 mph, Java and Faith 63 mph, Akaska 64 mph, Midland 66 mph, Reliance 68 mph and 76 mph at the Pierre Regional Airport. ...read more read less
