BLOOMINGTON Celebrations for IUs first-ever national football championship stretched well into the early morning hours Tuesday as fans flooded Kirkwood Avenue following the Hoosiers historic win.It was the busiest Ive ever seen , said Adam Weinberg, a student at IU.IU captured its first national college football championship with a perfect 16-0 season, prompting massive celebrations throughout campus and downtown.By about 5 a.m. Tuesday, bars along Kirkwood Avenue were closed, and staff were finishing cleaning up after the nights festivities.
