(Photo by Jeff Motz/KFOR News)BENNET–(KFOR Jan. 20)–The Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office confirmed Tuesday that a 7-year-old boy died in a UTV accident late Monday morning on private property just east of Bennet. Chief Deputy Ben Houchin says the victim, his 9-year-old brother were on the UTV and another child that lives next door was on an ATV, went to go get materials and tools on the property near 162nd and Bennet Road to build a treehouse.   The 9-year-old apparently made a sharp turn with the UTV and rolled it over. The neighbor child went to his mother to get help before 911 was called. Starcare, along with Bennet and Hickman Rural Fire and Lincoln Fire and Rescue responded.   The 7-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene and the 9-year-old suffered a broken leg.  Houchin said the Sheriff’s Office offers their condolences to the family members of the young boy.     ...read more read less
