U.S. Highway 285 is back open at Kenosha Pass after being closed in both directions late Monday morning and into the early afternoon due to a jack-knifed semi truck, according to the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT). Traffic was at a full stop in both directions with no estimated time for reopening, CDOT said, before opening the northbound lane for alternating traffic around 12:15. All lanes reopened around 1:20 p.m., according to a CDOT spokesperson.A hazmat team and tow truck responded to the area to clear the crash.CDOT recommended drivers headed for the Denver metro area take Colorado State Highway 9 to Interstate 70 to get around the shutdown before reopening the highway. ...read more read less
