(Courtesy of Nebraska Athletics)LINCOLN–(KFOR/AP Jan. 19)–For the first time in program history, the Nebraska Men’s Basketball team has cracked the top seven of the Associated Press Men’s Top 25 College Basketba ll poll. The new rankings on Monday show the Huskers moving up a spot to No. 7, the highest in program history, after Nebraska got a 77-58 road win at Northwestern on Saturday.  The Huskers are now 18-0 on the season, but are in the middle of a 22-game win streak dating back to last season when they won the College Basketball Crown. Nebraska’s next game is Wednesday night at 8pm inside Pinnacle Bank Arena, when they host Washington.  The game will be carried on BTN. Arizona is the unanimous No. 1 in this week’s rankings.  UConn is second, followed by Michigan, Purdue and Duke to round out the top five.  Houston is sixth, then Nebraska, followed by Gonzaga at No. 8, Iowa State is No. 9 and Michigan State is tenth. ...read more read less
