Photo Courtesy: Facebook COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO) — Bishop Redfern II has passed away at the age of 76, according to his family. He presided over the Ecumenical Church and University Worldwide since 1995. According to a post on Facebook, Redfern devoted his life to “preaching the Gospel, forming le aders, establishing churches and institutions, preserving sacred history, and serving people with faithfulness and conviction. His life was marked not only by vision but by obedience, discipline, and an unyielding commitment to the work entrusted to him.” He was also the founder of JuJu Publishing Company. Per Redfern’s bio, the company “published a national magazine and community newspapers in 7 metro areas of South Carolina. He served as president of a ground maintenance company which grew from 5 employees to 600 with service contracts on military installations in 8 states. He has successfully managed political campaigns from the local magistrate office to statewide and congressional offices. He has served in operational capacities in several Presidential campaigns. He was a Reagan presidential appointee to the transitional team assigned to the U.S. Department of Transportation.” He leaves behind his wife Luella, who serves as the International Director of the Esther Women of Influence at CityLight Worldwide.
