HS Boys Basketball Wrap: Thrive Charter drops close one to Roselle Catholic

ROSELLE — The Thrive Charter boys basketball team suffered a rare loss when it fell to Roselle Catholic, 57-52, on Saturday afternoon in the Scholarship Fund for Inner-City Children Hoopfest.
Tyrease Hunter had a big game for the Lions (8-5), finishing with 23 points. Kahlik Thomas added a double-
double with 10 points and 10 rebounds for the home side.
Marjon Skillman had a 15-point, 13-rebound double-double for the Titans (10-2). Tyler Hammond also reached double figures with 12 points.
Thrive hosts Trenton on Monday night in a Mercer County showdown.
Hopewell Valley 50, Allentown 46
ALLENTOWN — Christian Heide scored 15 points, Grayson Vlasac tallied 13 and Kyle Yadamiec had 10 as the Bulldogs (9-2) clipped the Redbirds (6-7) in overtime. Ryan Doran led Allentown with 13 points and Nick Pless added 12.
Lawrence 64, Delaware Valley 43
FRENCHTOWN — Blake Amos-Whitfield scored 17 points to pace three in double figures and the Cardinals (10-4) won their third straight and sixth in the last seven by easily out-pacing the Terriers (10-4). Michael Carrick finished with 12 points and Marvin McNeil added 10 for Lawrence.
Nottingham 58, Neptune 29
HAMILTON — Liam Cox scored a game-high 18 points and the Northstars (8-4) got off to quick 16-9 start and never looked back in a win over Neptune (3-8).
Princeton 48, Voorhees 39
VOORHEES — Zion Madden tallied 13 points, Michael Frenia added 12 and the Tigers (5-8) picked up a victory over the Vikings (4-8).
Steinert 81, East Brunswick Magnet 54
EAST BRUNSWICK — Christian Guagliardo tallied 13 points, Chase Whitman and Nico Feniello combined for 20 and the Spartans (2-10) defeated the Tigers (5-9).

PRINCETON — The Panthers (5-6) didn’t have any players reach double figures — Gary Jennings had seven for the home team — and it resulted in a loss to the Big Blue (8-4).

POTTSTOWN, Pa. — Ethan Nelson threw in the inbound pass which deflected off a defender, got the ball back and made a layup as time expired to give the Falcons (13-5) a MAPL victory.
