Air Force women’s basketball’s winless woes in Wyoming continue.
The Falcons lost 67-44 in Laramie, Wyo., on Saturday as they went just 1 of 17 from 3-point range. The lopsided loss puts the program 0-26 all-time at Arena-Auditorium.
Wyoming outshot Air Force 52% to 27%, making up for a di
sparity in shooting attempts that favored the Falcons 66-42.
Jayda McNabb led Air Force (8-10, 2-6 Mountain West) with 16 points and 11 rebounds. Emily Adams fouled out after pumping in 10 points and four steals. Milahnie Perry, fresh off a career-high 31 points against Colorado State on Wednesday, scored eight points on 4-of-11 shooting.
Malene Pederson led Wyoming (4-13, 1-7) with 24 points, hitting 8-of-13 shots and all seven free throw attempts.
The Falcons fell behind 23-9 after one quarter and never pulled back to within single digits.
Air Force next goes to UNLV, another spot that has brought consistent problems. The Falcons are 0-26 all-time vs. the Runnin’ Rebels in Las Vegas, where they will play on Wednesday.
