The 49ers will have a big game on Saturday in Seattle against the Seahawks. The winner advances to the NFC Championship, and the loser is done for the season. The Niners headed out this afternoon, and fans are also on their way to cheer on their team. Juan and Jose Rodriguez were on a road trip t o Seattle. But their first stop was the 49ers team store to make sure they’re repping the niners at the game. “We’re ready to invade Seattle, let them know we’re here,” Jose Rodriguez said. At SJC, fans were also heading out to Seattle. But for Shelley and Mike, they’re repping different teams. “After the Niners won on Sunday, Shelley decided we’re going to go to the game, so we’re heading to Seattle,” said Mike, a Seahawks fan. Meantime in downtown San Jose, bars are getting ready to host watch parties Saturday night. San Pedro Social is holding one of the official 49ers watch parties. “It’s what we look forward to at the end of each season, the 49ers making it deep into the playoffs, the preparation behind it is a lot of work, a lot of phone calls, a lot of zoom calls, a lot of emails,” said Ja’vonn Williams, Assistant General Manager at San Pedro Social. They’re expecting around 500 people. It’s first come first serve until they’re at capacity. “It does everything, it boosts morale, it puts the city on the map, San Jose, it brings culture, community together, it does everything, it puts money to other businesses that are around us as well,” Williams said. Businesses along with fans are hoping for a Niners win Saturday against the Seahawks. This is a win that could bring them a step closer to the goal: playing in the Super Bowl at home. And fans believe it can be done. “All the playoffs are gonna be on the road but the Super Bowl when it really matters it’s gonna be at home,” Jose Rodriguez said. ...read more read less
