STEUBEN COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO) — The Indiana Sheriffs’ Association is once again offering college scholarships to Indiana students pursuing degrees in criminal justice–related fields. Steuben County Sheriff Rodney Robinson announced that approximately 40 scholarships worth $1,000 each will be awa rded to qualifying high school seniors and current college students across the state. The Indiana Sheriffs’ Association Scholarship Fund was created to support students committed to pursuing an education and career in law enforcement. The fund provides financial assistance to help offset college expenses. To be eligible, applicants must be Indiana residents and either be a current member of the Indiana Sheriffs’ Association or the dependent child or grandchild of a current member. Applicants must attend an Indiana college or university, major in a law enforcement field, and be enrolled full time, taking at least 12 credit hours. Applications are available through high school guidance counselors, local sheriff’s offices, or as a fillable PDF on the Indiana Sheriffs’ Association website. Applications must be completed and received by the Indiana Sheriffs’ Association on or before April 1. Additional information about the scholarship program is available on the association’s website.
