Northeast Ohio businesses partnering on Winter Warmer Wine Cocktail Trail
Jan 16, 2026
Just when world events, plunging temperatures and the super flu put us most in need of comfort and joy, a group of Northeast Ohio wineries has come together with the Winter Warmer Wine Cocktail Trail.
Through Feb. 8, seven establishments within a few minutes’ drive of each other are pairing wines
and cocktails with hearty comfort foods, charging $7 per person at each stop. Those who come get a card to be punched; fill it to be entered in a drawing for an overnight in Madison’s wine country and gift cards to participating wineries.
At Grand River Cellars, Debonné Vineyards, Cask 307 and South River Vineyard, guests will enjoy two wine samples, and featured cocktails often are available at an extra cost. At Red Eagle Distillery and Black Door Tavern, guests will receive mini craft cocktails. Each stop includes a comfort-food pairing.
During the Winter Warmer Wine Cocktail Trail, Debonné Vineyards offers Loaded Baked Potato Soup and pairs it with tastes of its Unoaked Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. (Katie Monz - Tour Lake County)
New on the scene is Corkscrew Taphouse Winery + Tasting Bar, near the Interstate 90 exit at 1515 Route 534 in Harpersfield Township. With a constantly changing wall of 30 serve-yourself taps, Corkscrew showcases both beers and wines from Northeast Ohio, plus a full menu and regular entertainment.
Corkscrew Taphouse Winery + Tasting Bar,, newly opened at the Route 534 exit of Interstate 90, will serve a Meatball in Cabernet-Rosemary Demiglace, pairing it with Pinot Grigio and Petit Pinot, during the Winter Warmer Wine Cocktail Trail. Corkscrew’s featured cocktail, the Melted Snowman, is made from Seven Brothers Distillery Rum, Kahlúa, coffee and a whipped topping. (Katie Monz - Tour Lake County)
