Jan 16, 2026 morning forecast from Tara Hastings INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Areas of snow during the day today. Light accumulations but some slick spots could be possible. Temperatures take a nose dive this weekend and will be incredibly cold to start off the new work week. TODAY: A few slick sp ots possible on and off throughout the day today as we will see the chance for some scattered snow showers. Doesn’t look like we’re going to see a lot in the way of accumulation but it doesn’t take much to slick up the roadways. Look for about an inch of accumulation possible throughout much of Central Indiana. High temperatures will be climbing right around 37 which is near normal for this time of the year. Winds will be a bit breezy at times and could gust around 15 to 20 mph. TONIGHT: Cloudy with a few isolated snow showers possible this evening. Low temperatures will fall near 23. TOMORROW: It is going to be a cold weekend across the entire state. High temperatures on Saturday will be around 26. We will look for some sunshine at times throughout the weekend but it’s not going to warm us up at all. 7 DAY EXTENDED FORECAST: Partly cloudy conditions on Sunday are incredibly chilly. Look for highs only around 23. We are going to look for temperatures late Sunday night and early Monday morning to be into the single digits. Wind chill values will likely be below zero early Monday morning. Look for partly cloudy conditions on Monday no snow anticipated but it is going to be cold for the afternoon as well. High temperatures only around 18. Temperatures climb to about 25 on Tuesday with a partly cloudy sky. Another system will move through the middle part of the work week temperatures will climb to 36.
