CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Wegmans has begun the hiring and training process for its first Charlotte store in Ballantyne. The grocery store, located off North Community House Road, will employ approximately 450 people. It is set to open in fall 2026. “We’re looking to hire friendly people who are pas sionate about food and ready to grow their career with us,” said Store Manager Patrick McGuinness, who began his Wegmans career 26 years ago at the Erie, Pennsylvania store. “We onboard new employees quickly and provide them with comprehensive training in customer service and product knowledge; qualities that distinguish our stores from competition.” Full-time job applicants can apply at Wegmans’ website.
