A 23-year-old motorcyclist died after colliding with a sedan in east San Marcos, a sheriff’s sergeant said Wednesday. The crash happened about 5:25 p.m. on Montiel Road, roughly a half-mile east of Nordahl Avenue and just north of state Route 78, Sgt. Jeremy Collis said. The collision involved a w hite Nissan Altima sedan and a Kawasaki ZX-10R motorcycle, Collis said. Deputies arrived to find the motorcyclist unresponsive. Deputies and paramedics administered life-saving measures, but the rider died at the scene. His name was not immediately released.
