A motorist was killed by a wrong-way driver on the 215 Freeway in Riverside early Tuesday, Jan. 14, authorities said. At about 12:15 a.m. the California Highway Patrol received reports of a silver Mitsubishi Galant traveling northbound in the southbound lanes of the 215 near Cactus Avenue. Officers attempted to find the sedan as it continued driving the wrong way, the CHP said, narrowly missing several other cars. The Mitsubishi, near Central Avenue, collided head-on with a silver Toyota Camry, the CHP said. The Camry’s driver, Raulder Sotelo, 32, of Riverside was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Mitsubishi, a 20-year-old Moreno Valley resident, suffered major injuries and was taken to a hospital.
