The city is on the verge of a full bloom as anticipation builds for the 2026 PHS Philadelphia Flower Show. The nation’s oldest and largest indoor horticultural event, produced by the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society (PHS) and held annually at the Pennsylvania Convention Center, features b reathtaking floral displays, immersive garden landscapes, and premier horticultural competitions. Now in its 197th year, the award-winning show has been celebrated worldwide, attracting tens of thousands of visitors each year. This year’s theme is “Rooted: Origins of American Gardening,” inviting guests to “journey through the traditions, influences, and stories that shaped American gardening over centuries.” Visitors can expect to see imaginative designs and evocative botanical artistry that honor the gardeners, cultures, and landscapes. “This year’s Flower Show feels especially personal because every plant or garden carries a story behind it. We all have memories tied to plants and Rooted: Origins of American Gardening is about sharing those diverse experiences and the ways they connect us. It will be a show filled with memory, meaning, and incredible creativity,” said Seth Pearsoll, Vice President and Creative Director of the PHS Philadelphia Flower Show.
