  (CNN)– Microsoft is offering an olive branch to some consumers facing rising energy bills. It says it wants to pay electric rates high enough to mitigate the impact of its data centers. The company says it will work with regulators in order to do so. Microsoft also pledges to pitch in for r elated infrastructure changes. Data centers related to Ai are increasing demand on the country’s electrical grid. Experts say that reduces power supplies, and can lead to higher prices for homeowners.
