Vikings receiver Jordan Addison arrested in Florida
Jan 13, 2026
Vikings receiver Jordan Addison was arrested on Monday morning in Tampa, Fla.
The arrest occurred at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel Casino Tampa and he was later charged with misdemeanor trespassing in a structure or conveyance. According to records from the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, Addiso
n was arrested by Seminole Indian Police at 3:46 a.m., booked into into a local jail at 7:33 a.m., then eventually released on $500 cash bond at 2:40 p.m.
Asked about the situation at hand, Vikings head coach Kevin O’Connell chose not to go into detail. He seemed content to let the legal process play out for Addison before speaking in any declaratives.
“I just learned about that very, very recently,” O’Connell said. “I don’t want to speculate on that in any way, shape, or form. I do think we’ve got to get as many facts and find out exactly what happened. To speculate at this point would be incredibly premature for me.”
This is the latest incident for Addison in what has become a growing list of infractions. He was pulled over on Interstate Highway 94 in St. Paul in July 2023 and cited for driving 140 mph. He was also arrested near Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) in July 2024 after being found asleep at the wheel while blocking traffic.
After pleading not guilty to charges of driving under the influence, Addison later pleaded no contest to a lesser charge. He served a three-game suspension to start this season as a result, then was later benched for the opening 15 minutes of the game between the Vikings and Cleveland Browns in London after missing a walkthrough practice.
Asked how that track record could impact decisions moving forward, Vikings general manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah didn’t run from the potential that it could change the calculus. He emphasized that 99% of the time Addison is a joy to be around before acknowledging that the other 1% matters when looking at the big picture.
“Obviously, that’s something we have to consider when we’re talking about long term ramifications of a contract extension,” Adofo-Mensah said. “We’ll have those conversations. We’re always supportive of Jordan. We’ll continue to fact-find and see what actually happened, and then we’ll have those conversations in the future.”
