NICHOLASVILLE, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — A Nicholasville man is facing a manslaughter charge following
a deadly shooting early Saturday morning, according to an arrest citation.
The citation states that 25-year-old Tanner Brice Hamilton was arrested in connection with a shooting on Edgewood Drive that resulted in a death. According to the citation, the incident occurred shortly after midnight when Hamilton went to the victim’s residence on two separate occasions.
The citation alleges that during the second visit, Hamilton caused substantial damage to the victim’s vehicle. Investigators say Hamilton then fled the scene in his truck, followed by the victim in another vehicle.
According to the citation, the vehicles traveled a short distance before stopping. The citation states that Hamilton exited his truck and fired a shot from a handgun, striking the victim in the chest.
The citation indicates the victim was pronounced dead at UK Hospital, where officers were on scene. NICHOLASVILLE, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — A suspect charged in connection with a deadly weekend shooting in Nicholasville is due in court Monday morning.
According to the Jessamine County Detention Center, 25-year-old Tanner Hamilton is scheduled to appear in court at 8:30 a.m. on a manslaughter charge.
Police say Hamilton was arrested following a shooting early Saturday morning on Edgewood Drive near Shun Pike.
Investigators say the shooting resulted in the death of one person. No additional details have been released.
