Man, teenager charged in shooting death of 15yearold girl

HARDIN COUNTY, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — A man and a teenager are both facing charges in connection with the deadly shooting of a 15-year-old girl in a Lowe’s parking lot in Elizabethtown.
According to police, the shooting happened around 2:30 a.m. Sunday outside the Lowe’s in Elizabethtown. O
fficers say the victim was shot in the chest.
Police say 21-year-old Bryan Harbison is charged with wanton endangerment and unlawful transaction with a minor. A 15-year-old girl is charged with murder. Because she is a juvenile, her name is not being released.
Investigators say Harbison allegedly met the two teenagers on Snapchat and told officers he believed they were 18 years old.
According to police, the three were allegedly drinking inside Harbison’s truck while parked in the Lowe’s parking lot. Investigators say one of the teenagers, who was sitting in the front seat, fired a gun, striking the victim, who was seated in the back seat with Harbison.
Police say the teen charged with murder told investigators she found the gun inside Harbison’s truck, pointed it at the victim, and pulled the trigger. Officers say she told investigators she did not know the gun was loaded.
The investigation remains ongoing.
