Two dead, two hurt in Greenwood shooting
GREENWOOD, Ind. (WISH) – A shooting in Greenwood late Saturday night left two men dead and two others in stable condition.
According to a release sent by Greenwood Police, officers responded to the incident at approximately 11:30 p.m. Saturday at 966
Bent Branch Circle near Freedom Park.
Upon arrival, police discovered several adult males suffering from gunshot wounds. Authorities later confirmed that a 38-year-old man was transported to Methodist Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Another victim, a 37-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene, while a 23-year-old man suffered a gunshot wound and made his way to St. Francis Hospital on his own. He is in stable condition. Another male victim was transported to Eskenazi Hospital, where he is listed in stable condition.
The shooting reportedly stemmed from an argument between two men at a birthday party being held at the location. Both individuals allegedly pulled out handguns and began shooting.
The identities of the deceased victims are being withheld pending notification of their next of kin, as the GPD continues its investigation into the shooting.
