The National Weather Service released an updated winter weather advisory at 1:03 a.m. on Sunday valid from 1 p.m. until Tuesday 7 a.m. for Oswego, Jefferson and Lewis counties.The weather service says to be ready for, "Total snow accumulations 6 to 12 inches in the most persistent lake snows across the higher terrain of the Tug Hill and western Adirondack foothills, with much lower amounts falling across the lower elevations. This will be a long-duration event with two main rounds of snow. The first round will be this afternoon and evening. A break in the snows will then follow overnight, before the lake snows redevelop Monday morning and persist into Monday night.
