I would like to respectfully urge the mayor and Park City Council to appoint Jack Rubin to the vacant council seat. In the recent mayoral election, Jack received nearly half of all votes cast, losing by only seven votes. Appointing Jack to the City Council would ensure that the voices of nearly half of Park City voters continue to be represented and would show that those votes truly mattered. It is also worth noting that after running for mayor, Jack has chosen to put his name forward for City Council. This decision demonstrates that he truly cares about Park City and its citizens, and that his commitment is to service, not position.   Jack’s knowledge of current city issues is second to none for a citizen who has not previously served on the council. He is engaged, informed and ready to contribute immediately. He would be a great benefit to the council, the city, and its residents.   I respectfully ask the mayor and City Council to select Jack Rubin for the vacant City Council seat.
