HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Henrico County is hoping you'll help spread the love to older county residents this February by creating Valentine's Day cards. On Wednesday, Jan. 7, Henrico officials announced the return of the "Spread the Love" campaign for its sixth year. Until Friday, Feb. 6, th e county is collecting Valentine's Day cards to share with older adults in county nursing homes and assisted living facilities. The county asks that these cards be generic and contain an uplifting message relating to Valentine's Day. The "Spread the Love" campaign began in 2020 in an effort to help people feel more connected and cared for during the COVID-19 pandemic. Since then, more than 25,000 cards have been handed out.
