(KRON) -- A dine-in movie theater in Campbell is closing its doors by the end of the month after eight years. Pruneyard Cinemas's last day will be on Jan. 25, the theater announced on its website. "The decision has not come easily, and it reflects the challenges we have faced over the years," Prun eyard Cinemas wrote in its announcement. "We have navigated through the difficulties of the pandemic, the writer and actor strikes, and most recently, the rising costs that have made it unsustainable to continue." Pruneyard Cinemas' menu featured more than the typical movie theater. It serves items like burgers, wings, teriyaki bowl, lobster roll and Caesar salad. Pruneyard Cinemas is part of Campbell's The Pruneyard shopping center at 1875 S Bascom Ave. It first opened in 2018 and replaced the Camera 7 theater, which was in business for almost 50 years, according to the shopping center. ...read more read less
