Jeremy Stotler begins term as new North Perry Village Council member
Jan 07, 2026
North Perry Village Council has welcomed a new member to its ranks.
Jeremy Stotler was sworn in at the panel’s Jan. 5 meeting. Stotler, along with incumbent council representatives Dennis Hurley, Jeremy Lagania and Mary Ann Rideout, took oaths of office administered by Village Solicitor James O’
Leary.
Stotler, Hurley, Lagania and Rideout ran for four available council positions in the Nov. 4 General Election. Incumbent Councilman Derek Foley chose not to seek another term, which paved the way for Stotler to become the village’s newest legislator.
Stotler said he decided to run for council after learning about Foley’s planned departure.
“It was brought to my attention that a seat would be coming open, and I might be a good candidate,” he said, in a Jan. 6 email exchange. “I believe every person has an obligation to help their community if the opportunity arises, and this was my opportunity.”
As a new village legislator, Stotler said his goal is to continue the good work that the current council and mayor are doing.
“We have a very special place here in North Perry, I aim to keep it that way and help make the best decisions for this community,” he said.
Stotler, who has lived in North Perry for more than eight years, is employed as vice president, business banking consultant at U.S. Bank.
He earned bachelor’s degrees in finance and operations management at Indiana University.
Stotler said he appreciates all the support he’s received so far from village government leaders, as he acclimates to his new role as a council member.
” I promise to put my best foot forward for the Village of North Perry,” he said.
In other action at the meeting, Councilman Rob Ford was chosen by his colleagues to serve as the panel’s 2026 president. Foley held that position last year.
Village Council met on Jan. 5 because the first Thursday of the month — its normal meeting date — in January was New Year’s Day.
