H. Edward Tracy, 88, of Manlius, passed away Jan. 2, 2026. Born on Valentine’s Day in 1937, he graduated from Manlius Military Academy and Syracuse University. Ed served three years in the Army in California. He married Joan Mason Tracy in 1961 and they shared 64 years together until her death thi s past August. He worked his entire life for the business his grandfather founded in 1909, B.H. Tracy Sons in Fayetteville. In the early years he unloaded railroad box cars and held many roles at the company throughout his life. He enjoyed his hobby farm, caring for his animals, baling hay and riding his horses. Ed and Joan enjoyed their winters in Florida. Ed formerly served on the board of the Fayetteville Cemetery. He is survived by his children, Linda (Mic) Marsden and Steve (Claudette Giroux) Tracy; grandchildren, Erin (Tristan) Rapp, Benjamin (Anna Hrbac) Marsden and Sarah (Joseph) Hendron; a great-grandson, Neal Hendron and a great-granddaughter on the way; his sister, Louise T. Jerome; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Harold B. and Fanny Tracy. Calling hours will from 3:30 to 7 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 9, 2026 at Eaton-Tubbs Fayetteville Chapel, 7191 E. Genesee St., Fayetteville. The service will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 10, 2026 at Eaton-Tubbs Fayetteville Chapel, 7191 E. Genesee St., Fayetteville. Private burial will be in the Fayetteville Cemetery.
