First babies born in 2026 INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Ascension St. Vincent welcomed a true New Year’s Baby! Baby girl Yasmin is the first baby born in 2026 at Ascension St. Vincent. She arrived at 12:01 a.m. Thursday. Yasmin weighed 8 pounds, 3 ounces and measured 20.08 inches long at b irth. Her parents, Grace and Luis are from Indianapolis. The family says they are doing well! Eskenazi Health welcomed their first baby of the year at 1:25 a.m. By 3 p.m. on New year’s Day, the hospital said hello to seven newborns! Franciscan Health welcomed their first baby of the year at 1:16 a.m. Baby Talbott, son of Laci Rush and Quentin Talbott of Fairland, Ind., weighed in at 8 lbs., 3 ounces and measured 20 inches.
