More than 300 community leaders, philanthropists and supporters gathered last month at the San Diego Natural History Museum in Balboa Park for the 32nd annual Gingerbread City Gala benefiting the Epilepsy Foundation of San Diego County. The evening’s theme was “Hope for the Holidays.” Guests e njoyed cocktails and hors d’oeuvres while exploring a display of fully edible gingerbread structures created by pastry chefs, culinary artists and designers. Following the gingerbread showcase, guests sat down for a gourmet dinner in the museum’s atrium. The event raised more than $325,000 in support of the foundation’s mission to provide no-cost services to the 50,000 San Diegans affected by epilepsy.
