As fire crews worked to extinguish a house fire in Northeast Philly on Thursday morning, one person was seen being removed from the scene on a stretcher. NBC10’s cameras were at the scene along the 10000 block of Nandina Way in the Somerton section of Northeast Philadelphia, at about 1 a.m. on Thursday as crews worked to extinguish a house fire there. In an afternoon update, fire officials said a total of three people were hospitalized due to this fire. According to fire officials, crews responded at about 12:45 a.m., on Thursday, to a fire that tore through the first and second floors of a home. Eventually, the structure, officials said, partially collapsed during this incident. Officials said the fire at the home began around 12:35 a.m. and it was placed under control by about 1:35 a.m. Also, officials said, an investigation into the cause of this fire remains ongoing.
