PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Providence officials are getting ready to welcome in 2026 with the Illuminate PVD fireworks show on New Year’s Eve. The celebration will begin at 5 p.m. with the “We Love PVD Community Gathering,” honoring the victims of the Brown University mass shooting. This w ill be followed by a WaterFire bridge lighting at 5:30 p.m. featuring a K-Pop dance performance and salsa takeover. Fireworks will begin at 8:30 p.m. at the 195 District Park, and a DJ, food trucks and heated beverage garden will be on hand throughout the festivities.
