The couple exchanged vows just over six months later on New Year’s Eve. For the ceremony, 90 guests gathered amid twinkly lights and candles in the intimate, cozy courtyard at Maketto—a Michelin-recognized restaurant in their neighborhood. Indoors, the bride and groom filled display cases with mementos such as family photos and posters for concerts they’d attended together, along with bright, sunset-toned flowers that also lined the tables. In the background, Luke’s favorite movie, Cocktail, played on a small TV. The menu—a star of the celebration—included bao buns, scallion pancakes, dumplings, short ribs, wok-fried rice noodles, and Maketto’s fried chicken.
