BOSTON, Mass. (WLNE) — The Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority said fare gates at South Station in Boston were activated on Tuesday. According to the MBTA, riders now must have a valid ticket or pass to board or exit South Station’s track area.   Effective today, Tuesday, December 30 f are gates at South Station are officially in use️ Valid ticket or pass is required for BOARDING AND EXITING the track area.
