AAR Aircraft Services shutting down Indianapolis operations INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Illinois-based AAR Aircraft Services sent a notice to the Indiana Department of Workforce Development stating that they are planning to close their Indianapolis facility. The aerospace company plans on laying off 329 local workers on a rolling basis starting on Feb. 15 and continuing through February 2027. AAR provides maintenance and inspection services for a wide range of aircrafts, including Airbus, Boeing, and Embraer. AAR has leased space in the Indianapolis International Airport since 2004. AAR filed paper work on Dec. 23, which is 55 days before the first round of layoffs would begin. Strauss Borrelli believes that AAR employees may be entitled to 60 days of severance pay and benefits. ...read more read less
