Indianapolis man arrested after 110 mph Christmas Day police chase

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Police in Hendricks County arrested a man driving a stolen vehicle after a 110 mph police chase on Christmas Day.
According to the probable cause affidavit, a sheriff’s deputy spotted a stolen Kia Optima in the area of State Road 267 and Stafford Road. The driver re
fused to stop and a brief police chase began, ending the stolen vehicle crashed into another car at the intersection of E Main Street and Carr Road in Plainfield. Just before impact the car was going 100 mph, court papers say.
The driver, Eniakin Odutayo, was arrested after trying to escape the vehicle.
He then was transported to Eskenazi Hospital with a lacerated forehead and a broken kneecap.
The driver of the vehicle hit by the Kia was also transported to Eskenazi with minor injuries and a concussion. There were no other injuries.
Online court records show Odutayo faces nine charges including leaving the scene of a accident, resisting law enforcement, and auto theft.
As of Tuesday afternoon, he remains in Hendricks County Jail. Online court records show he is on an immigration hold.
