(WRIC) -- 8News got a visit from country singer Carrie Brockwell on Monday to talk about her new record and how she's navigating her career. 8News anchor Madison Moore was joined by the Chesterfield native, who has performed at the Grand Ole Opry and was featured on America n Idol, as she described what it's like balancing school, her music career and the release of "That's Real." "All of these songs are about being genuine, and, you know, real, and really who I am," Brockwell said. "And it really encompasses where I'm at in this stage of life right now."
