On Monday at 2:11 a.m. an updated ice storm warning was released by the National Weather Service in effect until 4 p.m. for Northern St. Lawrence, Northern Franklin, Western Essex and Southwestern St. Lawrence."Significant icing expected. Total ice accumulations between four and seven tenths of an i nch. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph, but up to 50 mph in the Saint Lawrence Valley this afternoon," comments the weather service. "Most of the ice accumulation will occur through 10 a.m. Temperatures will quickly fall later in the day as gusty winds develop, which may cause additional power outages through tomorrow morning." ...read more read less
