INDIANAPOLIS A woman has died after being shot on Indianapolis's southeast side Sunday afternoon, according to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department.Police said just before 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, officers were dispatche d to the 8100 block of Meadow Bend Lane on a report of a person shot.When officers arrived, they located an adult female with injuries consistent with gunshot wounds. Indianapolis Emergency Medical Services transported the victim to the hospital in critical condition, where she was later pronounced deceased.Police said several witnesses at the scene provided officers with a suspect and vehicle description. Officers located the suspect driving nearby, conducted a traffic stop, and took him into custody without incident.The suspect, an adult male, remains in police custody.
