(KRON) — A series of powerful storms drenched the Bay Area through the week of Christmas and dumped rain on nearly every part of the region. The National Weather Service recorded the rain totals from Dec. 19 to Dec. 26. The highest rain totals were concentrated in the North Bay. Bay Area rain to tals from Dec. 19 to Dec. 26. (Photo courtesy of the National Weather Service) Funnel cloud captured in Monterey County day after Christmas Guerneville in Sonoma County received 21.80 inches of rain, the most over the seven-day period, according to the NWS. The southern region of Marin County recorded the second-highest rain total at 13.81 inches. The NWS recorded drastically less rain throughout the rest of the Bay Area. Regions north of San Leandro and south of Oakland in the East Bay saw a little more than 6 inches of rain. Less than 4 inches of rain fell in San Francisco and the Peninsula. San Jose and the surrounding areas received less than 3 inches of rain.
