(KRON) — A team of burglars failed to steal an ATM from an Oakland supermarket on Christmas morning, the Oakland Police Officer’s Association told KRON4 News. A group of masked suspects allegedly drove a truck through the front doors of the Lucky supermarket at 247 18th Street at about 7:30 a.m ., damaging the facade of the building and a Bank of America ATM. “The burglars used a truck to smash and break open the store’s front doors and pull out the ATM machine,” the police union said. “However, the thieves were not able to escape with the ATM.” Unknown suspects failed to steal an ATM machine from an oakland supermarket on Christmas morning.
