At 1:04 a.m. on Thursday, the National Weather Service issued an updated winter storm watch valid from Friday 4 p.m. until Saturday 1 p.m. for Northern Westchester, Southern Westchester, Richmond (Staten Is.), Kings (Brooklyn), Northwest Suffolk, Southwest Suffolk, Northern Queens, Northern Nassau, Southern Queens and Southern Nassau as well as Orange, Putnam, Rockland, New York (Manhattan) and Bronx counties.The weather service comments, "Heavy snow possible.
