The Dakota County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a double shooting Wednesday as a homicide and attempted suicide, according to the sheriff. Deputies responded to the shooting in Castle Rock Township, south of Farmington, at 2:20 p.m. They found a woman dead from a gunshot wound, and a man wound ed with a gunshot wound to the head. The man was transported to a hospital and was alive as of late afternoon, according to the sheriff’s office. There were other people in the home, though they didn’t witness what happened, said Sheriff Joe Leko. The sheriff’s office is investigating.
