(BCN) -- Tuesday in the Bay Area calls for chances of rain, fog, strong winds, and hazardous coast conditions across the region, according to the National Weather Service. Daytime highs will be mostly in the low to mid 60s on the coast, and low 60s around the bay and inland. Overnight lows will be mostly in the low 50s. Another round of wet and dangerous weather is expected to affect the Bay Area and Central Coast on Tuesday, with flooding, strong winds and hazardous coastal conditions becoming more likely as the day goes on. A flood watch remains in effect for the North Bay through Friday evening, while a flood watch for the rest of the Bay Area and the Central Coast begins at 10 a.m. Tuesday. Light rain will continue through the afternoon, with moderate to heavy rain returning Tuesday night into Wednesday morning. Minor nuisance flooding is possible during the day, especially on streets and in low-lying areas, forecasters say. According to the NWS, urban flooding and major travel delays could develop late Tuesday and continue into early Friday as repeated rounds of heavy rain move across the region. The risk will increase across the entire Bay Area and Central Coast as the week goes on. Very strong and damaging winds are also expected from Tuesday through early Friday, especially along the coast and in higher inland elevations. Power outages are likely, and residents are urged to prepare. There is also a slight chance of severe thunderstorms, mainly late Tuesday through Thursday, with strong wind gusts possible. That threat could extend into Friday. Along the coast, forecasters warn of dangerous beach and marine conditions from late Tuesday through Friday. People are advised to stay away from hazardous surf and follow safety guidance as storms continue to move through the region. Copyright © 2025 Bay City News, Inc. ...read more read less
