(KRON) — A suspected drunk driver caught air blowing past a stop sign before driving directly into the Benicia Police Department parking lot Monday. Security camera footage shows the driver speeding near the intersection of 2nd and L streets in Benicia at about 2:30 a.m. before the vehicle barrel ed into the parking lot and stopped next to the department’s fleet of patrol cars, police said. “It is very fortunate that no one was injured,” Benicia PD wrote on social media. “We share this incident with our community as a reminder that driving while under the influence is dangerous and, of course, illegal.
